Welcome to the Braid Barbers blog, where we will be reviewing the latest films and coolest music, providing hair and fashion advice, talking travel tips, looking at the latest gadgets and offering up competitions to win free hair care products.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and owner Robert Braid. We've been good friends for over 20 years and even lived together for a while; the traditional odd couple. He still hasn't got over the fact that I used to beat him every time at 'Worms' on the Playstation, though he does now have the edge over me on the Chessboard which is deeply annoying! Not only have we danced on the speakers of some of the world's best nightclubs, we've travelled across Thailand together, roamed the beaches of Rio, eaten succulent steaks in Buenos Aires, escaped 'Vivian's' in La Paz and watched the sunrise on the Salt Flats in Salar de Uyuni. In fact, we've probably seen a lot more sunrises together than we have sunsets!

Both of us have been travel nuts from a young age, as well as being completely obsessed with music and films. That's why we thought we'd pool our collective resources and start a little blog offering travel tips, hair advice and reviews of the best films and music releases. I've been a DJ for nearly 20 years now, with Rob at most of my early gigs before he climbed down from the podium and started having kids!

Braid Barbers have been curating crucial cuts for almost 30 years, so what they don't know about hair isn't worth knowing. As well as DJing for almost 20 years, I now also write for a number of different websites including leftfield travel website Inspired Away, Garnish Music Production School in London and Los Angeles, men’s lifestyle magazine Sabotage Times, C21 Movie and TV Media in London and popular satirical clubbing website Wunderground.
